A Note Before Proceeding
Due to how dangerous electrical can be I will only be looking at the installation of the item and the quality of it. I will not be talking about how to wire the fixture as that should be done to the electrical code of your area.
Do I Recommend the Westinghouse?
The short answer is no because the instructions are not detailed enough and the package does not include everything to install the fixture. The instructions include a single diagram of how the whole light fixture should be assembled
However, the diagram is not large enough nor detailed enough to provide me with the information I need to complete the installation. Thankfully everything is written out step by step so I could make do with the instructions provided.
The Bigger Issue
The light fixture was missing hardware as it only included two screws. I am not sure if the product was supposed to include more than two as the instructions only showed one set of screws.
The reason I needed four screws and not two is that the mounting hardware and the light enclosure both needed two screws. Luckily I had two screws that fit perfectly for the enclosure but I am sure I was the exception and not the rule.
The last reason I would not recommend the light fixture is because it is mostly made out of thin plastic. The frosted glass is nice but the plastic is not sturdy and the nice glass only sits in place and is not secured down to the plastic housing.
What I Would Recommend
I would recommend ordering one from Home Depot instead as I found a light fixture similar to the one I have with the correct amount of screws and what appears to be a sturdier metal construction.
